Check out these awesome Hidden Weight Spinnerbaits! This deceiving spinnerbait head conceals it's weight under the skirt so it boasts the profile of a small spinnerbait head with the weight of a large head. Built with premium Mustad NeedlePoint hooks, molded 3-D eyes on a smaller .035” wire frame (R2035 frame). Available unpainted or in six awesome colors. - 1/4oz use 1/8" Eye
- 3/8oz use 5/32" Eye
- 1/2oz use 5/32" Eye
- 3/4oz use 5/32" Eye
- 1oz use 3/16" Eye
- Tools: Long Nose (Needle Nose Pliers), Round Nose Pliers, and Split Ring Pliers.
- Spinnerbait Head & Frame: Choose your favorite Spinner Bait frame.
- Skirt: Bass Academy or premium silicone 5” skirt.
- Blades: One smaller Colorado blade (front) and one larger Willow leaf blade (rear).
- Hardware: 1 Clevis, 2-3 Metal Beads, 1 Spacer, and 1 Ball Bearing Swivel.
- Apply a small amount of lip gloss to the spinnerbait head skirt collar.
- Slide the Bass Academy silicone skirt over the hook point and push it firmly up onto the skirt collar.
- Slide your smaller Colorado blade onto the curved clevis bracket.
- Slide the clevis directly down onto the open metal arm of the wire frame. Ensure the cup (convex side) of the blade faces backward toward the hook.
- Drop 1 or 2 metal beads down the shaft right after the clevis to act as smooth bearings.
- Slide a metal spinnerbait spacer onto the wire shaft. This ensures the two blades stay separated and do not interfere with rotation.
- Drop one final bead on top of the spacer.
- Take your Round Nose Pliers and grip the very tip of the open upper wire frame.
- Bend the wire down toward the hook to form a tight, neat 3/4 circle loop. Leaving it slightly open allows you to slide the hardware on next.
- Use your split ring pliers to attach a small split ring to the eyelet of your Willow leaf blade.
- Thread a premium ball bearing swivel onto that same split ring.
- Hang the open end of the swivel onto the open loop you made on the wire arm in Step 4.
- Use your long nose pliers to crimp the wire loop completely closed. Make sure there are no gaps so your blade assembly doesn't fly off while casting!

This lure is a weapon!

I was a little skeptical of this weird head design when I first saw these. But after using them, I now consider them to be my go-to spinnerbait design. I love the fact that I get more weight when needed, without adding size to the presentation. You can use smaller blades than you normally would with standard spinnerbaits. I trim my skirts down so they match the smaller head, and I get a nice, compact spinnerbait that gets down deep when I need it to. Plus they cast better too.
Caught a 8lb 6oz slow rolling this lure

Bought some rainbow trout 3/4oz baits to try them out. We have some huge largemouth here and they like rainbow. Didn't take long to hook into a huge 8lb +. My lure got all mangled up, but I boated and released the fish. Stays deep and runs true. Great lure!

Spinnerbait catches fish, but has a short life span

I have been using these for almost two years. I like them a lot and they catch a lot of fish, the down side is that the arm breaks after about 6-10 fish. I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts on buying more because it gets expensive losing not only the spinnerbait, but also the blade and ball bearing swivel. I wish they would hold up a little better.
Great Spinnerbait Blanks, but Needs More Colors !

I love the Hidden Weight Spinnerbaits, but would like to see them in the colors : solid black, solid orange, and solid chartreuse. These colors would compliment my color schemes much better, especially in 3/4 oz. Overall a great spinnerbait blank, but there needs to be more colors !
