From the guy who invented the fly fishing vest, how could you go wrong? There is a reason this vintage dry fly is the "go to" fly for so many anglers of every skill level, it works! It looks, and perhaps more importantly, acts like a wide variety of fish food items. It's a classic trout fly, but also dynamite for other species like bass and panfish. Carp will even take it when their surface feeding especially when the cotton wood seeds are on the water.
It's great flotation, contrast and visibility make it an outstanding searching fly you can hang a dropper from or use as an armed strike indicator with a nymph. It handles rough water like a champ and is forgiving if your delivery with your new trout spey is a little sloppy.
