LureCraft Plastisol Formulas
Plastisol is liquid plastic that is used to make soft plastic lures. It comes in several formulas to meet all lure making applications. All LureCraft plastic formulas will produce lures that naturally float!
OUR MOST POPULAR FORMULAS (The best plastic you can buy)
Formula #500 (hard) – This plastic produces harder (stiffer) lures. This extra strength formula is ideal for plastic tubes, harness worms, swimbaits, larger pike/muskie lures and saltwater baits.
Formula #502 (medium) - Our best seller! This is a medium flexible formula ideal for worms, creature baits, panfish & ice fishing lures, bass baits, and most freshwater applications. This is the most common plastic used in lure making.
Formula #536 (soft) – This “extra soft plastic” is a maximum flexibility blend, often used for drop shot, finesse, and panfish lures, as well as creature baits. It is used whenever extra stretch and softness are needed for maximum lure action. This soft formula is also extremely tear-resistant.
Formula #548 (medium hard) – This is a medium/hard blend of 60% #502 (medium) and 40% #500 (soft) plastic when you need little extra toughness especially for tubes and saltwater or muskie baits, but you still want some flexibility in the plastic.
CUSTOM BLEND FORMULAS FOR HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION
Formulas #550, #552 and #556 are custom blends for high volume manufacturers. Please call Kim at 800-546-8922 or email Lurecraftnerd@gmail.com for more information.
ECONOMY FORMULAS (Our most cost-effective plastic)
Formula #570 (hard) – This is a more economical harder plastic when a lot action is not required. Often used for tubes and other similar “harder plastic” baits.
Formula #572 (medium) – This is a more economical medium, all around plastic that will be a little less flexible than our premium plastics. A great choice for most baits.
Formula #576 (soft) – This is a more economical soft plastic that will be a little less flexible than our premium plastics, but still produce nice, soft lures that will produce plenty of action.
