F1256 HMH TRV Vise Hammertone Coated Base
The HMH TRV Spartan Vise is inspired by the English LAW vise, which have become incredibly expensive and hard to come by. The TRV features hardened tool steel jaws and an easy to operate knob for clamping hooks of all sizes - as well as three grooves in the jaw for securely holding larger hooks. This is an awesome all-around vise that's equally at home tying small midges or big pike flies! HMH’s latest and greatest addition to their vise line. The TRV is the first vise HMH has made with a True inline Rotary action. This means the hook shank can be aligned with the axis of rotation of the vise, allowing materials to be held while the hook is rotated. Great for dubbing loops, chenille, tinsel, or palmering a hackle! Jaws are cast in true HMH style out of tool steel, other than the jaws, all parts are stainless steel, brass or powdercoated for protection. The Jaws are now with black oxide (gun blueing) coating. The TRV comes only with the impressive brass palm wheel.
ALL TRVs ARE MADE TO ORDER. It could be a week or more depending on other orders in the shop. Please be patient and understanding that demand exceeds the supply of the TRVs.

A real pleasure to tie on!
by Tom Yocom
If you are considering this innovative vise, it is probably not your first -- though it might be your last. It is straightforward, HMH solid, a real pleasure to tie on, and easily a tool for generations. The textured palm wheel is inspired, eliminating any searching, even glancing, to smoothly rotate the jaws. For static tying a quick turn of the lock ring makes it rock solid. No jaw changes are needed to go from 24's to 7/0. Fly access and holding power are beyond question. Like a good rod, this vise has a good purchase/pleasure ratio and you can use it all year round.
Worth every penny!

Ok, so this vise is spendy. But it is worth every penny. You will never have to buy another vise. This one will handle anything you can dream up and will last forever. Well built to last a lifetime and works like a dream.
