These hard baits really work
by Bass Hunter 1969
Picked up a few of these and painted them in some killer color patterns. Added hooks and went to my local lake. Baits ran true and swam just like they should. I used #2 Split Rings and #4 trebles on the shallow running square-bill and they are perfect! Recommend you use high quality trebles, like VMC cone cut, as they are light and strong and don't affect the action of the lure. Great product and great price!
Top quality blanks

These are old Mann's Bait Co. blanks, apparently. Well they sure run true and are well made. I dipped mine in "Lure Dip", then added eyes. The Lure Dip gives the baits a cool transparent finish. The fish hammered them, so the simple paint job worked for me. I guess you could use lure tape on these too, if you wanted some "flash". I had a lot of fun with these and caught a lot of fish too. Two thumbs up. Much better than forking out $6 or $7 for a lure at the tackle shop!
Thank you!

I have always had good luck with the Mann's "Chug n Spit" and was super bummed when they stopped making it. Now I can get it again, so I am happy. Just picked up 20 in case they disappear again. Nothing beats the little spit of water that shoots up each time you twitch the lure. The sound is very unique and fish love it for some reason. Now I have to decide what colors to paint the bodies...
Great Lure Blanks
by Phil Z
I have painted a variety of LPO's hard body lure blanks from the Pro Series, Minnow Blanks, Mann's, 2720 Crankbait Blanks, and Laser Eyez. The blanks arrive individually packed and are perfectly assembled. No further sanding to smooth out the seams is required. I just wiped off the blanks with an alcohol rag and start air brushing. The blanks run true and look great when finished! I have painted over 15 hard body lure blank styles with my favorites being the deep diving jerkbait and the square bills. These blanks catch fish!
